The sheriff’s deputies were at the scene of three township fires, where illegal burning was cited last week.  One fire was in Nessel Township, on north Falcon Avenue Wednesday, May 8.  Rush City firefighters were dispatched and prohibited materails were located and the property owner cited.  May 7 about 12:40 p.m. a fire was reported in Franconia Township, off Hwy. 95. Shafer, Center City and DNR firefighters were sent.  The DNR Conservation Officer is looking into this incident.  

Another was Monday, May 6, about 1:30 p.m. off St. Croix Trail, North Branch Fire and DNR responded.

May 12 a brown colored pit bull/boxer type dog was found around Lamar Avenue, Chisago City area.   Lakes Area Police have contact information for person who reported finding it.

Lakes Area Police are investigating vandalism reported at Paradise Park, Chisago City. The block retaining wall building and split rail fence were damaged.

May 9 a suspect reportedly pointed a firearm at a structure near Lake Lane and #14. Officer unable to locate any suspicious persons.

A dog bite was reported by a delivery person, hurt on property (no address in the file) about 2:10 p.m. May 8.  The owner was not present and deputies were attempting to make contact by other means.  The delivery person was treated.  

Another dog bite reported at a property on Acacia Trail, the victim was running on the road.  This incident is in the dog quarantine stage, as vaccination records were not supplied.  The victim received medical care.
