Winter overnight No Parking rules in effect
In urban areas the winter overnight on-street parking restrictions are in effect from now until April.  No parking overnight is needed in order to keep streets clear for large plow trucks and efficient road clearing. If you have a need to put a vehicle on the street or have guests temporarily please contact your local police department and see if special permission is available  short term.  In North Branch there are city-operated parking lots that require a permit, call city hall.

Law enforcement agencies are giving warnings early on but tickets-with-fines will be issued once the public has been made aware it isn’t summer anymore.

Sunday, November 3 about 4:15 p.m. a report of a possible domestic incident on Lyons Street in rural Stacy, firearms on the premises. The deputies were given police assistance in securing the scene.

November 2 a black and white spaniel type dog was collected by Lakes Area Police as a stray in Chisago City near Hidden Forest and went to Northwoods Humane Society.

A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a business in Chisago City.

October 30 the countywide SWAT was mobilized for a possibly hazardous warrant arrest about 7 a.m. at an address on 404th in North Branch.

October 28 a report to Lakes Area Police of a dog bite by a German shepherd, victim was a passerby on Andrews Ave. in Lindstrom.  Potentially dangerous dog rules are being considered.  Incident reported at 5:10 p.m.
