The City of North Branch has officially adopted a logo to symbolize the city’s identity as it grows into the future. The logo got the city council okay November 26.  The design was over a nine-month effort of community meetings and Keech Media guidance. It involved community members who met monthly and discussed the theme the logo should invoke, and layout, font and colors to represent North Branch.  The former logo featured mainly a pine tree, with a ribbon horizontally in the space.

City Administrator Renae Fry stated she was excited when community members came forward and became involved in the process. They represented a variety of opinions and came together over several months to share their experiences and work towards the image.  Fry said the logo represents the shared goals and ideals for the city.

Mayor Jim Swenson added, “There are so many people to thank who have gotten us to where we are today.”

He mentioned businesspersons and residents who collaborated; Post Haste, Prism Design and North Branch Area Chamber in particular, for designing a modern logo that projects an image of recent North Branch growth and “...for which the city should be proud.”

Staff will be replacing letterhead and city forms as needed with the new logo and it will be worked into materials officially representing the city over the coming weeks.
