September 30 a counterfeit bill collected in Chisago City.

A Chisago City public works crew was sent to a site where debris including tires, had been dumped in a city park.

September 28 local officers assisted state patrol on a pursuit of a vehicle that fled when a traffic stop was initiated on I-35, near North Branch. The incident was reported at 11:50 p.m. The chase went southbound, and the vehicle ended up crashed into the median in Forest Lake work zone, rolling a few times by Highway 97.

The 19-year-old driver was airlifted and the 21-year-old passenger, who had a warrant, was taken by ground ambulance. They are both from Bemidji.  

September 26 a house fire in the basement was contained quickly by firefighters from Harris, North Branch and Rush City-- at an address in Fish Lake. Call came in about 8:17 a.m.

Lakes Area Police were asked to look into theft of a 12 year old tortoise. She is a Sulcata tortoise and was in a fenced yard at Shoreline Court, Chisago City.

Shafer Post Office reported mail found on roadway, on-going problem.

September 25
Loose chickens being kept in Harris, on Falcon Avenue, are on neighboring property and it is a frequent issue. Owner cited for nuisance.
Battery and power cords etc. reported missing from a worksite on 375 in Amador Township.

September 24
Tracking was in full gear  of a car theft suspect who reportedly was armed, in the Rush City area.  Suspect was apprehended.

September 23 multiple law enforcement units involved in theft of a Jeep vehicle, about 10:30 p.m. taken from an address on Rushseba Trail. Suspect fled after crashing vehicle.
