A traffic stop initiated October 25 about 3:30 in the morning, on southbound I-35 near Harris, sent area law enforcement on a pursuit, that ended in a field around 364th and Forest Blvd. almost an hour later. An arrest was made, booking a Wisconsin man on outstanding warrants.  The suspect was apprehended after allegedly fleeing and the chase went south on 35, exiting off to Athens Trail (into Isanti) and back into Chisago County.

A male, 52, fell down a set of stairs at the Shafer Saloon about 9 p.m.  October 25. He was unconscious when 9-1-1 was called and did not regain consciousness after authorities attempted to resuscitate him.  He went to North Memorial Trauma Center by North Air, and at last report the sheriff’s office said the hospital advises he’s in the ICU.

October 24 a report of a German Shepherd dog that was shot by what is believed was a rifle, in the area of 44000 Bending Avenue in Fish Lake Township.  The incident was reported October 24, but the dog came home bleeding from the wound to her belly the day before and underwent successful surgery.  The owner believes the incident happened about 3 p.m.

October 23 a Chisago Lakes Achievement Center client bus went into a ditch hitting some trees, about 9:20 a.m.  The site was at Mattson Lane and Stacy Trail, north of Chisago City, where the center for programming for developmentally delayed people is located.  The dispatcher was requested to send ambulance transport of four passengers, two of whom sustained head injury,  according to the early information.  The bus driver reportedly was unhurt.  Lakes Area Police are looking into the incident.

October 21 a dog bite incident was reported in the Marigold Lane area in Lindstrom.  The case is being reviewed by Lakes Area.

Other weekly reports included: a student cited for marijuana possession at Chisago Lakes High School, Lakes Area Police arrested one male for residential burglary and possessing burglary tools and a second female suspect is released pending further review.
 
There was a false fire alarm at Chisago Lakes High School Friday, Oct. 25 about 5:09 p.m.  

A reported suicide by hanging is being looked into by Lakes Area Police and the medical examiner. The death was reported at a Lindstrom address,  and a second death at-home was documented by Lakes Area Police also in Lindstrom, the same day.
