The sheriff department had multiple calls to Hay Days-related incidents.  The weekend motorsports event tallied theft and attempted theft calls, a band was playing where it was not authorized, a fight erupted at the Bikeman area of the event grounds requiring six deputies to be dispatched, and a handful of drunk driving offenses reported.  

September 7 the patrol deputy cited a person at a fire at Shafer near Hwy. 8 and Redwing for burning prohibited materials.

A car fire on Lent Trail reported at 2:30 a.m. resulted in two being taken into custody for intoxication. Stacy-Lent Fire Department handled the fire.

A new home construction site on Glader, south of Lindstrom was the scene of a garage fire, reported about 7:15 a.m.  The incident created copious smoke.

September 6
A barn fire reported on Locke Avenue in Sunrise Township about 3:40 p.m.  Two vintage vehicles were lost, fire believed to have been started when a third vehicle had been taken for a drive and returned where it ignited hay and lumber.

September 4
Trailer parked on yard on Chisago Boulevard was reported stolen. No details.

Vaping device possession citations were given to five students over the week at Chisago Lakes middle and high schools.

Holiday Station in Lindstrom reported a counterfeit $50 was turned away and a customer used other bills to pay for a purchase, and a $100 bill was rejected at a Chisago City business last week

September 3
Rush City Holiday reported a theft and suspect fled on foot about 7:40 a.m. Arrest made.

September 2 a suspect was tracked down and placed in custody after a report of vehicle tampering in and around the Fairview Medical Center in Wyoming.  Wyoming Police and Lakes Area officers were in that area starting about 7 p.m.

Theft from a vehicle (briefcase) reported at an address in North Meadow neighborhood in LIndstrom.

A forced entry burglary under investigation at a home on Sunrise Road. Power tools, coins and cash are claimed as stolen.
