Tenant families have come with special “Gender Reveal” of expected grandchildren performed outside grandparents windows as well as a creative Easter visit. (Photo above)
This Monday, taking advantage of the fresh snow covered ground, residents had a fun visit from Norm Barnhart of CleanComedyGuys.com dressed as Santa. Using a loud speaker, Norm sang and danced to a Fred Astaire song and dance number --- “I'm Singing in the Snow”, etc. and told Santa jokes, even had given candy canes to be delivered to tenants. Norm said, “I saw so many smiles and waves through the windows. It was a blessing to me...”
Ecumen also has been so encouraged by the outreach of the community with multiple individuals dropping off bags of homemade masks to supply enough for all tenants! The lead maintenance staff and his wife made masks on their time off. (Above and below)
Though these times hold elements that can be trying, it has also awakened time and opportunity to reflect and care for one another in special ways. Ecumen Point Plesant Heights says thank you to all the generous and caring hearts out there touching the lives of others with their kindness. Stay safe everyone!
