Judy and Harlan enjoyed entertaining family and friends at numerous dinners and holiday celebrations on their farm. Judy was a talented seamstress, sewing everything from wedding and baptism gowns to snowmobile suits. She enjoyed designing floral arrangements and jewelry. She canned many jars of fruits and vegetables over the years, and was admired for her homemade cordials. Judy owned and operated the Lovely Lady Boutiques in White Bear Lake, North Branch and Moose Lake in the 1980’s and 1990’s. In their retirement, Judy and Harlan enjoyed wintering in Bull Head City Arizona.
Judy passed away in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin at the age of 74 on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 after years of lingering health issues. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Laurence and Winifred Pangerl; brother Larry Pangerl; In-laws Nels and Myrtle Bostrom.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Harlan; son Jeff, daughter Julie (John) Schmalz; grandchildren Nels (Alexis) Bostrom, Jeni (Aaron) Christensen, Jessica (Scott) Anderson, Jake (Jess) Schmalz; great-grandchildren Ryder, Franceska, Lilliana, Opal, Caleb, McKinley, Tyler and Abigail; sisters Pat (Richard) Muellner, Linda (Loren) Ronzheimer, Brenda (Lee) Huenecke, Wendy (Len) Jannusch, and Jodi Hammill; sisters-in-law Donna (Don) Kosen and Cindy Pangerl; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
