Dorothy Berntson

Dorothy Berntson went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2020, at the age of 105.

She was preceded in death by her husband David, son Dean and daughter Laureen. She is survived by daughters Linda, Lois (Mark) and Eileen (Rick), 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy and her husband moved to Chisago City in 1967 where she taught first grade until her retirement in 1983. She continued in her love of teaching by tutoring children in math and reading, teaching Pioneer School in Taylors Falls for many summers, and by her involvement with adult literacy. She was very active in her community as well as her church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15 at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 5459 E Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be given to University of Northwestern-St. Paul, KTIS Radio or Oak Hills Christian College (Bemidji, MN). Thank you to all who sent greetings in honor of her 105th birthday.
