February 23 a male driver sustained a cut nose, while putting an all terrain vehicle into water under the channel bridge, between South and North Center lakes.  Call came in about 1 p.m.  He was checked out by EMS and not transported.  Lindstrom Fire Dept. sent the airboat and a suited diver assisted at the scene, while Center City’s fire department ATV was used to pull the damaged inoperable vehicle to shore. Peterson’s towing assisted;  attaching a cable from a heavy duty tow truck parked on the highway, atop the bridge, to keep the partially submerged ATV upright.

North Branch P.D. was called on a negligent discharge of a firearm in city. Suicidal person involved.  A second suicidal person reported the same day and North Branch saw to it they were transported to Wyoming Medical center.

February 22 a theft of tools from a Lindstrom construction site reported.

Burglary scene discovered by staff at Chisago Lakes Golf Course in morning. No details about entry or what’s missing.

February 21 a woman was arrested at a business parking lot in Stacy, not long after being identified as a driver of a DUI-related two vehicle crash at the car wash in Kwik Trip East, North Branch. The car wash incident happened about 10:15 a.m. and the arrest was made when the woman was spotted semi-conscious, and authorities were called to  Stacy about 12:30.

February 19 fire department and Lakes Area Police responded to call reporting a carbon monoxide detector alarm at a Chisago City residence. Home was vented and no injury reported.  Could have been battery expiring.

A stolen vehicle recovered by authorities responding to a call of a vehicle parked on Harder Avenue suspiciously for days. Stolen report was out of Wisconsin.

One e cigarette ticket issued for the week at Chisago Lakes High School.
