It’s the deeply-rooted families in this area that help to make for a unique communityl, and as we enter a new decade, we cleberate families like The Hultquists who have held family reunions in this area for 31 years...the most recent was December 29 at the beautiful, new Chisago Lake Township Hall, north of North Lindstrom Lake.

Family members had fun with their party’s  Scandinavian theme and the little ones enjoyed dressing as traditional Santa Lucia Day characters...Marvin H. still lives on the family farm homesteaded in the 1850s.  

Four generations made it to the reunion to enjoy the holiday.

The younger generation, pictured below in large group: Oscar Dokken, Wesley Bialka, Gunner Miller, Ellie Miller, Angelina Campos, Gabriella Campos and Willa Rae Dokken.  

Sandy Gustafson did a little show-and-tell, featuring her bread-raising pan from Swedish pioneer ancestors.
