Maxine Appleby, age 97, of Chisago City, passed away on December 25, 2019 at Ecumen of North Branch in North Branch, Minnesota.  She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Fred and Borghild Storms on August 26, 1922.  

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Charles, brother Donald Storms, and grandson Davey Appleby.  She is survived by her children Patricia (Sam) Sampson, David (Debbie) Appleby, Ria (Micah) Morgan, and Nancy Appleby;  grandchildren Laurie (Heath) Appleby-Williams, Amber (Mike) Berg, Erin Appleby, Andy (Angie) Johnson, Annie Reichert, and Ben (Autumn) Appleby; great grandchildren Ezra, Phoenix, William, Ruby, Jasper, Danny, and Max; and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.  Maxine was devoted to her family.

Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Center City, Minnesota.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
