He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marlene; daughters, Lori, Jodi and Amy; son Jeremy; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Grace, Leah, Chris, Michael, Natalie, Sophie and Emilie; and many friends and family.
Bruce was born in 1946 and was raised on a farm near Taylors Falls, MN. He took care of the family farm with his brother, Rex. Upon the sale of the family farm, he started his 35-year career at Dresser Trap Rock, retiring in 2012. Bruce was a gentle soul who was loved by many. He made friends wherever he went and talked to everyone. He was a patient and kind man. Bruce loved to deer hunt in his younger years and spend time at the hunting shack, and shared stories with the guys. His happy place was Birch Ridge Resort on Leech Lake. He loved it there and always looked forward to the yearly fishing trips to Birch Ridge. He was content at being home now and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and watching all the wildlife by his home. His greatest joy was his family. He will be deeply missed.
A private family celebration of Bruce’s life will be Saturday, July 11 at 2 PM with a livestream made available by Bradshaw Funeral Home, Stillwater, 651-439-5511.
