To the folks who live on the south side of Chisago Lake - thank you. Thank you for the free fireworks show when all of the community ones were cancelled. We do not live on the lake but close enough to enjoy the thousands of fireworks on Saturday evening. There were some really incredible ones, like ones you would see in a big time show, that lit up the sky. After the day we had earlier, a relaxing night sipping a beer watching the fireworks from our deck was just the ticket.

This week Karl Oskar Days is making a comeback of sorts. Store owners in Lindstrom are cordially inviting you to come out and shop all this week with Krazy Days sidewalk sales that will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Merchants will have raffle tickets for you when you make a purchase. You will also get a card to collect stamps from merchants and the drawings of stampbooks will take place on Facebook Live at 7 pm. Thursday and Friday, Linden Avenue will be the place for food trucks to tempt your taste buds.
Saturday the famous Karl Oskar Days golf tournament will still take place at Chisago Lakes Golf Estates. Please contact them for registration.
The ambassador coronation will also take place on Sunday June 12, at Lions Park at 2pm. They are asking that you please wear a mask if attending.

Thanks to the Karl Oskar Committee for giving us some sort of semblance of normalcy in these odd, odd times. I hope you come out and support Lindstrom and these great businesses and our ambassadors to be!

Speaking of summer celebrations, Ole’s Crossroads in Shafer is holding an Outlaw’s Car Club car show. There will be a ton of muscle cars with prizes and trophies awarded. The show runs from 11am to 2 pm. There will be food and drink specials. If you would like to enter your car in the show, the cost is $10 at the door.
