The gas pump at BP in Lindstrom did not shut itself off and a couple gallons spilled about 5 p.m. as the female driver sat in the car. Lindstrom Fire responded and contained the mess on the pavement with special product.
July 4
About 45 minutes after midnight a stolen vehicle was spotted by a Lakes Area patrol car, running plates. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver fled. The county K9 unit and a drone were dispatched, and the 42 year old male suspect was apprehended.
A child was bitten by a Mastiff dog, at an address in Sunrise around 8 p.m. The victim went to the hospital and authorities are gathering information.
In Sunrise Township a dog was run down by a vehicle that also destroyed a rural mailbox. Incident called in about 5:40 p.m. Caller told authorities it was a grey or light blue van.
July 3
Dog bite on Wyoming Trail, victim was getting mail on roadway. Incident happened about 3:40 p.m. Lakes Area Police investigation on-going.
An altercation reported at Fish Lake County Park beach approximately in the a.m. Suspect was located at Full Moon Bar later, expressing suicidal thoughts and was transported to emergency room.
July 2
MNDOT truck at the Pleasant Valley and Highway 8 RDA site in Center City was stolen. Suspect located by deputies and pulled over, but ran from stop. A perimeter was set up near 310th where he entered a wooded area. He was apprehended a short time later.

A call reporting an assault at Creekside Cafe in Rush City and the deputies responding made quick arrest.
June 30
Theft of tools from vehicles in Harris, twice. One incident the perpetrator smashed a window. Losses include carpentry tools, Honda pressure washer, Predator generator, Stihl concrete saw.
