Virus numbers good and bad, we have hope of a summer celebration

Virus numbers good and bad, we have hope of a summer celebration

There is something else happening with the virus in Minnesota and I assume nationally. The fact that numbers seem to increase of positive tests (due to more testing), the number of deaths is plummeting.  We have had it beaten into our way of thinking that deaths lag positive tests. Well the number of deaths has remained very low for a long duration now and the number of positive cases has increased.  Whatever the medical profession in Minnesota has stumbled across to minimize deaths is, it’s working. Working well.  I have a good friend who works down at the coronavirus headquarters (Bethesda) and they tell me the numbers in the ICU have never been lower with virus patients.  They also told me the doctors and nurses are trying many different therapies including lying patients on the bellies and they are having great success.  More good news!

There is more good news out of Chisago City.  Ki Chi Saga Days is still planning on happening. Ye some things will be altered because of the CDC suggestions. Vendors will be limited and spaced accordingly.  There will still be fireworks!  There will be two stages for music and entertainment at Moberg Park on opposite ends to keep crowds separated.  Walkways in both vendor areas and entertainment areas will be widened to CDC standards.

A few items they had no choice but to cancel for this year including the grand day parade, the Little Miss Crowning, the petting zoo and the children’s inflatable area.

The way I look at it is any celebration at this point is a win for those of us who have been stuck at home doing puzzles and getting on each other’s nerves.  I for one am looking forward to Ki Chi Saga Days!

I forgot, on page 8 you will see the entry form for Ki Chi Saga Days garage sale event.  It’s a affordable way to get your sale infront of thousands of eyes and thus helping you have a great sale.  Yes, garage sales are still allowed.
