The 10th Annual Members Show at ArtReach St. Croix opened on Thursday, July 9 with a mostly outdoor reception. This year’s exhibition features work by 39 member artists and represents many different kinds of art most was created by artists who live or work in the St. Croix Valley.

The Annual Members Show will be on view through Saturday, August 15th  at ArtReach St. Croix’s galleries, 224 N. 4th Street, Stillwater. The galleries are free and open to the public with modified hours Wednesdays through Saturdays, 12-4 p.m. The number of gallery visitors allowed inside at one time is limited to 10 people and everyone is required to wear a mask in order to maintain a safe environment to view local art.

The Best of Show award went to Jessica Turtle for Bombas Perplexus, an acrylic painting on paper that was selected by members of the ArtReach St. Croix Board of Directors. The winner of the VAC Award, selected by members of ArtReach’s visual arts committee, was Alan Honn for his glass and rawhide drum titled Sound Wave.

Other artists featured in this year’s exhibition are: Holland Atkinson, Leslie A. Batt-Lutz, Leslie Carpenter-Holt, Barb Casey, Barbara Claussen, Lou Cunico, Andrea Leila Denecke, Jane Dierberger, Gail Jessop Diez, Cara Frafjord, Candace Ganje, Stephen James Gates, Gil Gragert, Diana Hatchitt, Han Huisman, Phyllis Hunter, Jeffry Jeanetta-Wark, Christie Kowalski, Sarah Lilja, Rita K. MacDonald, Michaela Mahady, Bev Marx, David Morris, John C. Niemi, Chiaki O’Brien, Carol Patt, Kristin Prideaux, Jeanette Richards, Sue Rowe, Megan A. Schmidt, Emily Schollett, Lorie Spiegel, Jerilyn Strand, Susan Strand-Penman, Marjorie Wade, Sharon Weiser and Todd Williams.

A third cash award, The Audience Award sponsored by Cummins and Bonestroo Law Office, will be announced prior to the closing of the exhibition Saturday, August 15.  Visitors to the gallery and anyone who views the exhibit through the online slideshow is invited to vote for their favorite artist or piece.
