Another state law requiring motorists to move over when an emergency stop is taking place on the roadside resulted in a ticket. Sheriff deputies were handling a freeway stop when an SUV went past on the same lane and made no attempt to either slow or move over. The woman driving was followed northbound on the freeway to Highway 95 and she was stopped a short ways into North Branch and ticketed. The incident happened about 10:45 p.m.
Owners of several vehicles reported their trucks and cars were keyed while parked at the North Center Lake Public Landing the evening of June 4 into June 5.
And, at the East Rush Lake access a trailer was reported stolen. The unit is a Shorelander, black in color.
June 1 around 2:15 p.m. sheriff’s patrol found dumping at the south dam off Stacy Trail in Carlos Avery. The DNR has to cleanup mattresses and a fiberglass boat disposed of in the wildlife area.
June 2 there was a vehicle fire on 318th in Chisago Lake Township about 4:50 p.m. Local sheriff patrol used an extinguisher.
Doyle Field concession house was set on fire. Motor oil was found at the scene when emergency teams responded about 7:45 p.m. Investigators are looking into the incident.
ECE crews were called in when a contractor boom truck took down a power line at Olson Road, Sunrise about 4:25 p.m.
June 3 a 50-year old shoplifter was cited at Brink’s Market in Chisago City.
June 4
A grill fire at a lot in the mobile home park on Olinda Trail, Lindstrom, reported 1 p.m. Some trailer siding was damaged but the fire was put out quickly. Lindstrom Fire Chief was at the scene.
June 6 a complaint alleging the Executive Order was being violated at an outdoor restaurant space, checked and unfounded. There was distance maintained and hand washing stations set up.
On Broadway in Lindstrom police got multiple reports of vehicles being entered overnight June 6.
At Jonquil and 275th in Chisago City there was a call about 8 p.m. that an Xcel line was down. Chisago City fire department sent personnel and Xcel was on the scene.
