March 14 a theft of items reported from a vehicle parked at Bulrush Golf Course. The laundromat in Rush City reported theft of quarters. Dryers were damaged to gain access.
March 12 North Branch Police searched an area around County Market after a reported theft of store items. A female suspect was identified from video but police were not able to find her in the area. Incident was reported about 5:20 p.m.
Sheriff deputies went to a shed fire on Government Road, Rushseba, about 2 p.m. The situation resulted in one person being transported for a mental health assessment.
A suspicious person was observed by a deputy about 5 a.m. lying beneath a truck parked at MSC Auto in Rush City. The person told the deputy he was looking at the vehicle’s catalytic convertor because it was the same as his truck’s. There was a saw confiscated at the scene and the man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
A female victim received care for a laceration while North Branch Police aided deputies at the scene of an alleged domestic incident at Stacy Trailer Park, about 1:35 a.m. The suspected assailant had feld.
The sod company reported $20,000 in property damages to the sod field, nearing its harvest peak, when two vehicles tore up the field near Keystone and Hay Creek outside of North Branch. Also, March 9 a truck and car were spotted on a sod field near Iris Avenue and 400th.
March 11 there was a natural gas leak reported at a residence in Chisago City. Lakes Area Police and Xcel attended to the problem without incident, reported about 9 p.m.
Deputies notified St. Paul Bomb Squad of a pipe bomb located on Evergreen Avenue about 1 p.m. The device was successfully detonated without harm.
A quick change artist hit a business in Taylors Falls March 11. The perpetrator buys a small inexpensive item with an overly large bill and distracts the cashier in making change. This incident resulted in the business out just $10 and the subjects involved were identified and trespassed from the store.
March 10 dispatch received reports of overweight rigs on north Hemingway Ave. in violation of spring road restrictions. Two were believed to be grain trucks and one was an 18-wheeler.
March 9 a work crew came upon pulltabs, paperwork and empty cash bags in a ditch near Deer Garden Lane, Chisago City. The items were believed to have been taken in a break-in at Chisago Lakes Golf Course that police were made aware of a while ago.
Also March 9 a burglary was reported at the Zinpro plant north of downtown North Branch, about 9:50 a.m. One arrest was made and another suspect was transported for an injury.
