Photos show students using the awesome new materials. “Rest assured they will provide many years of beautiful clay pieces being produced by excited elementary students! I couldn’t be more excited to share these awesome materials with my students,” Luger concluded.
Pottery tour reminder
The many pottery studios in Chisago County that have been involved in the Pottery Tour for over 20 years, are hosting this year’s event on-line. Covid-19 restrictions and concern for the well being of hundreds of pottery lovers who annually make the pilgrammage to their favorite artist’s studio, led to the art group deciding to hold sales on-line this weekend.
You will be able to use a website to purchase pottery pieces from participating potters of the upper St. Croix area-- beginning at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Friday May 8) through Sunday. You can also click on individual’s listings and chat with them through e mail on the site and learn more about their selections.

This weekend would have marked the 28th year of the Pottery Tour here. Tour items and the beauty of the countryside have been attracting art patrons and guest pottery artists as well as local supporters tracing the route of the tour, adding to collections, or acquiring a new original treasure.
