May 24 a lawnmower mishap reported in Nessel Township about 5 p.m.  The victim was mowing and drove the mower off the edge of a steep decline, and the mower landed on top of the driver’s legs.  The authorities got the mower off and found that the air ambulance would not be required. The subject was taken by ground transport to a nearby medical facility.

The Chisago chain of lakes has a few tight boating areas marked as slow-no wake all the time-- and water patrol reports over last week there were a few warnings were distributed reminding boaters to slow down.

May 23 a report of vehicles racing near Falcon and Athens Trail, Lent Township, when one car went off into a ditch about 6:30 p.m.  Deputies booked one male for DUI after he was transported to Wyoming Fairview to be checked out.

An invasives violation noted at the North Center Lake boat access, the boater was ticketed for having invasive weeds on his trailer and expressing to inspector that he knew they were there.

There was an update on county business sites and how well they are adhering to the restrictions of the covid executive order.  The authorities have gotten the most complaints regarding restaurants violating conditions, and along with on-site visits, sheriff staff have been calling restaurants anonymously to inquire about what type of dining services they offer. So far nobody has come across anything not in compliance.

May 19 an I Phone 6 was found in a yard on 312th in Stacy. To claim contact the sheriff’s administrative offices, it is being kept in the property room.

Lakes Area Police went to a fire alarm about 9:25 p.m. that was cancelled by fire personnel. The address on Neal Avenue had experienced a burnt pizza.
