Thank you to all of the men and women who came out to hand out candy. I don’t think you understand how grateful the community is for your kind act. And an even bigger thank you for trying to make this odd, awful, inconvenient, ridiculous year for these kids a little bit closer to normal.
If there is anyone more glad than me this election is over I would like to meet them. I feel like I have been in a prize fight and came out the loser. So draining, so negative, so volatile, so disgusting. Before you let the letters fly about how this local politician is the nicest person in the world, I am referring to the national and big parts of the state races. I get it, I am getting old. Maybe. But in my old age, there is something about smooth sailing and peace that attracts me more than I could have ever imagined possible. So I say goodbye to all of this. Good riddance and I hope we never have a year like this again - ever.
Sorry about that, much like a knot in your neck, it pays to work it out.
I know this is a tad bit early, but I figure why not start planning for Thanksgiving. The annual community free Thanksgiving meal is still happening. Here comes the broken record part - but of course there have been modifications due to the pandemic. While the meal will still be the same awesome food it has always been, it will now be served curbside and contactless in the church parking lot. So why am I telling you now? Because in order for them to plan on food volume, they need people to make reservations. This will also help with scheduling times to pick up your meals. Please call 651-257-6300 and leave a message if after hours.
In this edition of the Press you will find our Veterans Day spread. With the lack of events, it is more just a chance for local businesses to say thank you to all the men and women who have served this great country.
Thank you to all Veterans for everything you have done. Thank you for everything you will do. I always get a little tongue-tied when explaining local Vets. Probably because they are so important to me and more importantly to this area. Thank you Veterans!
