Milton Moen, 82, formerly of West Fargo, ND died on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020 at Parmly on the Lake in Chisago City, MN.

Milton Kenneth Moen was born Feb. 22, 1938 at McVille, ND to Kenneth and Agnes (Fjeld) Moen. He was raised on a farm near Kloten, ND and attended country school Field #4. He graduated in 1955 from Aneta High School and went on to attend the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

On Dec. 15, 1957, Milt married Carol Adrian at Trinity Lutheran Church in Binford, ND. They made their home in Fargo where he worked at Western Electric, Model Laundry, in beauty supply sales, Louie’s Jack & Jill and Piggly Wiggly. In 1964, they moved to West Fargo. Milt worked at Roy’s Jack & Jill, Bonanza Foods and the Midweek, all in West Fargo. Milt retired in 1992.

In retirement, Milt worked part-time at Furniture for Less.  He and Carol also continued their arts and crafts business, which they enjoyed for over 40 years.  In 2018, Milt and Carol moved to Chisago City, MN to be closer to their three children.

Milt’s priority in life was his family, the love of his life, Carol, and loving on his grandbabies. He loved lawn and garden work, which was evident at their home on Sheyenne Street.  He enjoyed birds and wildlife, singing along with classic country music and enjoyed history – especially North Dakota history.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Becky (Matthew) Sumers, Julie (Todd) Moen-Opdahl and Tim (Julie) Moen; six grandchildren, Sarah (Greg) Brandt, Naomi (Ben) Passe, Storm Opdahl, Hattie Opdahl, Max Moen and Josie Moen; four great-grandchildren, Evan Brandt, Elodie Brandt, Cameron Passe and Sidney Passe; and a sister, Shirley (Orville) Slusher.
