Theft of tools and a Ford F150 reported in rural Rush City from demo landfill. A second theft of tools in downtown Rush City and motor vehicle was tampered with also reported same night.
September 26
Stacy ballfields had an incident of vandalism, a portable bathroom unit had fireworks exploded inside.
Brake failure blamed for a crash on Itasca Avenue, Chisago City about 2:10 p.m. Mailbox taken out as car left roadway, no injury reported.
September 25
Vehicle hit a garage on County Road 14, reported about 8:30 p.m. A 47 year old woman was booked in connection for DUI.
September 24 thefts of catalytic convertors are increasing...loss off a vehcile parked in Nessel Township and from a vehicle parked at Franconia Town Hall. The sawzall blade was left behind at this incident and there is camera footage.
Theft happened a number of days before it was reported, chain link fence cut and a trailer and two lawnmowers missing from address on Dana Avenue, Rush City.
A steer-- which was apparently loose for weeks-- was called in by someone who spotted it on 355th Street in Chisago Lake Township about 8:25 a.m. Owner says fence is hard to get at in wet area and can’t repair it.
Also Sept. 24 vehicle was stuck in Kwik Trip car wash equipment in Chisago City about 6:20 p.m. Tow truck extricated the vehicle.
Natural gas leak at trailer home park in Lindstrom on Olinda Trail, about 2:45 p.m. Hedge clippers cut line acccidently, Lindstrom Fire monitored until Xcel arrived.
Juveniles were reported going through vehicles in the Cyprus Road neighborhood, Shafer about 1:15 a.m. Deputies and Lakes Area Police patrol encircled area, stopped fleeing suspects, made arrests on tampering, property damage and one suspect had warrants.
September 22 Vehicle parked at Wild River State Park damaged while gaining entry, items stolen. This was in mid-day.
A driver of a Jeep Cherokee didn’t want to wait for a train at 4th Street in Rush City and while backing she hit a fire hydrant, that broke away as designed to do. Public works responded. Incident reported about 10 a.m.
Wyoming Police and North Branch Police have a case of multiple stolen cars, starting with a reported hit and run in North Branch. A Government Road, Sunrise Township resident reported a car stolen and an abandoned vehicle was also found on-site, that turned out to have been stolen. No suspects in custody at this time.
