August 7 county SWAT and a K9 unit and North Branch Police established a perimeter around a residence at Countryside Trailer Court in North Branch, about 11:30 p.m. They were there to apprehend a 33-year-old male suspect with two serious warrants for violating no contact order and aggravated robbery. The situation possibly involved a hostage, and authorities were equipped with chemical irritants to enter and subdue the subject if needed to gain compliance. The female was able to exit the structure and the suspect was taken into custody about 8:50 a.m.
A pole building on Harder Avenue in Harris was surrounded about 7 a.m. August 5 when local law enforcement took a male into custody on warrants.
August 5 a number of tickets were issued in connection with the Towards Zero Deaths effort. The program pays wages for overtime for a saturation of enforcement of seatbelt and hands-free phone law. This wave utilized observation of offending motorists by officers, who are positioned inside of school buses at major intersections on mainstreets in Lindstrom and North Branch. The officers alert mobile units of violators they have observed as the bus comes up alongside the driver.

A shooting complaint August 3 turned out to be a transformer that “blew” near First Avenue in Lindstrom about 7:20 a.m.
A sickly deer was dispatched by LAPD and due to the behavior it displayed before being put down— the animal is being tested for CWD by the state.
