School violence threat incidents escalate
Area law enforcement looked into a few gun violence threats posed to affect local schools,  but found no credible substantiating concerns. December 17 and 16 there were alleged text messages and overheard statements police were made aware of affecting Chisago Lakes middle and high schools. Students were interviewed and all situations were cleared.

County law enforcement went to a couple of rollover crash scenes Sunday, Dec. 19. No stop sign was up at the intersection of 340th and County Highway 30 in Lent Township, apparently causing a vehicle to go westbound into Cty. 30 and strike another vehicle, about 10:18 p.m.  EMS reportedly checked conditions and no injuries were noted.
Also, a car avoidng a deer in the roadway, rolled off Park Trail near 360th in Amador Township, about 10:30 p.m. One person transported for non-life threatening injury.

December 18
Work storage trailer broken into in Chisago City, multiple items missing.

Ice house storing fishing equipment broken into in Chisago City and numerous items taken.

December 17
Lakes Area Police recovered a motorcycle believed stolen from an Isanti address, in Chisago City.

A minor-age driver reportedly pulled out of private property in front of passing vehicle on Rush Point Drive, Nessel Twsp., about 7:57 a.m.  Vehicles didn’t need a tow.

December 16
Crash at Wild Mountain Road at Park Trail, reported 8:30 p.m. Driver didn’t see the road ends at a T and drove into trees. Parents were called and no transport by EMS.
Contractor business in Chisago City reported theft from building, door forced open.
