The Chisago City Fire Dept. had an active week— it responded to a mobile home fire, Feb. 7 Sunday, about 7:50 a.m. at Berglund Avenue, northwest of the intersection of Lofton and Hwy. 8.   The LAPD reports the trailer was unoccupied when fire crews arrived and no injuries were reported.  Chisago City also had a call of a powerline down and flames beginning, at an address on Jonquil Avenue, also Sunday, about 4 a.m. The powerline was handled without serious incident.

Also Sunday, Feb. 7 Almelund Fire was sent to a fire at a house on Oriole Avenue abou 9 p.m.  The party reporting the fire had a warrant and deputies brought him in. He had installed a wood burning stove and he said the duct tape he applied caught fire.  February 4, a fire (smoldering dust bin actually) was called in to Chisago City Fire about 9 a.m.  Firefighters went to a building housing a manufacturer in the business park on Liberty Lane, and the situation was taken care of, with no injury reported.

A suspect was arrested in Amador Township in connection with previous burglary at Immanuel Lutheran Chruch.

February 4 the mini-storage business on 375th in Amador Township was the scene of a report of multiple units broken into and items missing.

February 3 one driver was cited for inattentive driving when the car he was operating crashed into the back end of another vehicle waiting to turn off Green Lake Trail, at Jeffrey Ave. about 3 p.m. Both vehicles were westbound on Green Lake Trail.  No transports for medical care reported.
