Remember when clearing snow— not to shove snow across the road where your driveway ends...it leaves piles on either side of the plow where snow spills and this hardens and creates a traffic hazard.  Law enforcement is noticing this activity and making an effort to educate people.  Also, street overnight parking bans remain in force until April.  If you have no option but to park on a city street contact your local department for a special exemption.

January 18 there was an assault alleged at Rush Riverview Apartments. Sheriff patrol arrived about 10 p.m. and suspect fled but was found in another apartment and jailed on active warrants.

Lakes Area Police were following up on a check the welfare call, and found an assault suspect in the home of subject they were checking. They took the suspect in. This was on Lofton Avenue about 11:30 a.m.

Car fire at Pioneer Road and Highway 8, reported around 4 p.m.  Chisago City Fire responded and city public works helped lay sand-salt for when the road was cleared.  Car was a loss.

Catalytic convertors still being stolen. One was reported missing during daytime hours, cut from a vehicle that was parked in a busy Chisago City retail lot.

January 24 a car fire at the Wild Mountain Road and 347th area, about 7:20 p.m.  Taylors Falls responded, vehicle towed in unknown condition.
