In one incident a man riding a bicycle either fell or was struck by an unknown vehicle and suffered head trauma when he encountered pavement, at Redwing and Highway 8 in the Shafer area.
The victim was found and reported to 9-1-1 about 3 a.m. July 3. Authorities identify the bike rider as 28-year-old Tyler Joseph Rosendahl, North Branch.
The second incident was a pick-up and dump truck collision on the east side of Center City, June 30, about 5:30 p.m. The injured party was taken to Regions.
The state patrol was not releasing the report as is regular practice. The patrol only stated the driver sustained non life-threatening injuries. The investigation is on-going.
However, sheriff’s personnel, who assisted at the scene along with Shafer-Franconia Fire and Lakes Region EMS, and Lakes Area Police, report the dump truck was stopped on the highway lane waiting to turn, with left turn signal on, as it faced westbound. The pickup truck driver, who is not identified, was also westbound. She reportedly rear-ended the dump truck according to people at the scene, who also aided the pickup driver to a safe distance from the resulting fire, as responders arrived.
Details are being held on an assault July 4 alleged to have taken place at an address on 318th in Lindstrom. A party was transported to St. Croix Medical Center. Incident called in about 3:40 p.m.
Two males caught by LAPD officer climbing down from atop the coffeepot watertower in Lindstrom, about 1:30 a.m.. Cited for underage consumption.
July 3
Vandalism reported at Green Lake Cemetery, a few headstones toppled and flower pots destroyed.
A landing zone at Chisago Lakes High School, was set up by Lakes Area Police for a medical air ambulance transport, about 4:40 a.m.
An address in Point Pleasant in Chisago City, was smokey from burnt food causing someone to call 9-1-1 and dispatch fire and LAPD. There was no fire. Incident happened about 4:40 p.m.
A trailer caught fire in North Branch at 1:45 p.m. near the former Oak Inn. Firefighters and county personnel were on hand.
A cabin break in was discovered, on Stark Road in Fish Lake Township. No detail on missing items.
About 10 p.m. deputies were called to handle a man displaying a pistol and being disorderly at Camp Waub-o-jeeg outside of Taylors Falls. The suspect was arrested for alleged assault.
July 1
A mail carrier vehicle and car collided on Chisago Boulevard, rural Chisago City, about noon. No injury reported. Accident was actually witnessed by a LAPD officer.
June 28
A residential burglary at a Lyons Street, Lent Township address. Forced entry to a door. No details on missing items.
A variety of spray paint vandalism incidents reported near Marigold Lane, Lake Lane and paint on the Thrifty White building, all in Lindstrom.
June 27
Lakes Area Police and a county K9 unit responded to a call that a family first heard banging on their door and then an intruder entered their home on 245th in the middle of the night. The family members were able to get clear of the house and the authorities arrested a 27-year-old male, from Blaine. He was taken to Cambridge E.R. first and later booked.
