A bike rider in the triathlon crashed his bike on Lofton Avenue, about 8:20 a.m. He was transported for medical care.
Deputies went to Stacy Trailer Park responding to a call of a male out of control and armed with a handgun, near midnight. He was taken into custody without incident and tested for substances at Lakes Area Police Dept. and then jailed.
A large brush and wood fire reported on 285th in Chisago Lake Township, about 10:15 a.m. Authorities called the fire department to extinguish and the landowner will get the bill. Burn restrictions are in effect now. Check with the DNR website or fire marshal if you have questions.
ATV rollover accident reported on 490th outside of Rush City, about 6:30 p.m. Air ambulance transport needed. The lone male driver lost control at an ag ditch.
July 24
The drive into Interstate Park, Taylors Falls, and Hwy. 95 was the scene of a two vehicle crash when a car leaving the park hit a car on the highway about 3:40 p.m. Nobody had serious injuries both cars were towed.
Winds knocked down powerlines at Olinda and 300th, Lakelawn Drive, two locations on North Lakes Trail, 299th and Nathan Court, Karmel and Liberty Lane, and Old Towne Road and Park Place.
July 23
A report of an unruly person at Lindstrom Clinic about 2:30 p.m. She was attached to a warrant out of Wisconsin which authorities there declined to accept, so she went to Fairview Riverside voluntarily.
A neighbor reported disorderly behavior about 6:30 in the morning, at a nearby home in Lindstrom, and Lakes Area Police arrived to find a female believed to be over-dosing. NARCAN was administered and EMS called, and she was transported. Possible charges coming due to pills found in a car at the scene.
The same day another possible overdose was responded to also in Lindstrom and subject was taken to the VA for care.
Deputies went to investigate a reported burglar at Faith Baptist Church in Lent, overnight. A weed whip was missing. Entry was forced and deputies noticed the main door was unlocked as if for a return visit.
July 22
Park in Harris and water treatment building were spray painted with grafitti probably overnight. Porta-potties at the park were tipped too.
July 21
A youngster at the Lakeside School playground suffered head trauma and Lakes Region EMS was sent. A parent took the youth for care. Incident happened about 11:45 a.m.
Several county law enforcement personnel spent hours at an address on Cooper Lane, in Rush City to successfully make an arrest on a fugitive from justice warrant.
July 19
The mini-storage units on Fairfield Avenue in Rush City were broken into and items missing. An arrest at Kwik Trip netted a couple suspects believed to have been responsible, as items reported stolen were found in the vehicle.
