Shafer resident killed in rollover
The MN State Patrol identified the victim in a single vehicle rollover crash Monday, March 8 as Paul Fuller Lawrence, 34, of Shafer.  According to preliminary reports he was northbound alone in a 2016 Nissan Frontier truck when it left the roadway, after veering from the left lane to the right lane, and it hit an embankment, rolled and came to rest on its wheels. He was declared deceased at the scene.

The crash site was near County Road 23, Lino Lakes and incident report was called in at 2:57 p.m.

March 4 report of individual smashing glass window/ door at sporting and lawn store in Rush City, about 7:20 a.m.  The video from security cameras is being reviewed. Reportedly suspect also attempted entry at a rear business door.

March 6 a male was taken into custody at an address on Forest Blvd. in Rushseba Township after law enforcement alerted he was armed and making threats of a domestic violence nature. Children were in the house with the man and authorities relocated them.  SWAT assisted in taking suspect into custody, a rifle and ammunition were also confiscated. The incident began about 9:15 p.m.

March 7 an ATV injury reported near Morgan Court south of Lindstrom, about 1:15 p.m. Ambulance transported one for care.
