The State Patrol is investigating and reconstructing a fatal crash that killed a rural Chisago City woman out for a bike ride, Thursday, Oct 28.
The victim, Jan Freemore, 70, was crossing Highway 8 in the crosswalk with her bike, about half an hour after noon. She was transported to a metro hospital where she passed away.
The State Patrol’s preliminary report states Freemore was going from the south side of the highway to the north, at Pioneer Road and was struck in the eastbound lane by a 2014 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 23 year old Woodbury woman. The Nissan was turning right to head east on Highway 8.
