Readers are reminded the winter overnight street parking restrictions are in effect.  Lakes Area wrote dozens of “warning” tickets but they won’t  last forever until there is a fine attached.  Overnight street parking is prohibited in most larger cities until April to keep the lanes clear for plow trucks.

Alarm at Zion Church in Chisago City, about 8 a.m. The furnace was found to be malfunctioning, no fire.

November 13
Citation issued for fire on Broadway Street for burning leaves. Lindstrom does not allow leaf burning.  Incident complaint came in about 1:48 p.m.

Lakes Area Police have three abandoned bikes they collected over the week. Call to describe and claim.

November 12
Sheriff’s K9 tracked a suspect alleged to have been involved in a domestic assault around 284th Street, reported at 3 a.m.  A 35-year-old female was arrested after she was found. The injured victim’s condition was being assessed.

November 11
A deputy arrested a person on theft about 7 p.m.  for allegedly taking a log splitter at an address in Rush City.

Sunrise Township resident cited for burning a couch and mattress and other non-permitted materials in an outdoor fire pit.

Lakes Area aided Wyoming Police when a resident of a group home on 277th reportedly was involved in an altercation reported about 11:40 p.m.

November 9
Bullet hit a home window in Panola in Franconia. Nobody hurt. Complaint came in about 6:47 p.m.

November 8
Gas drive-off in Harris reported. Two suspects located at rest stop at Goose Creek, who were arrested on fifth degree possession and warrants.
