I would like to wish my secondary mother a happy birthday. Susan Wilson whom many of you may remember as our Lindstrom Public Librarian back when we had a library in the Chisago Lakes Area Chamber building. Sue is turning 87 years young. Sue was literally the first person I met when we moved here from Red Wing a million years ago. She forced my brother and me to go to lunch and spend the day with her boys who are the same age as we are. Ever since that day, Sue has always been there for our family. Heck, she even remembers birthdays that I have long forgotten. Here is wishing you a year of wonderful health and lots of laughs Sue!
Now that the free pandemic money has officially ended, it is my assumption people will once again be in the hunt for jobs. If you have a high school or college aged sibling that is in that group, Wild Mountain wants to meet with them. On November 6, Wild Mountain will hold a job fair for many positions in the 2021-22 ski season. Some will be offered jobs right on the spot. See page 18 for more details.
I drove by a home over the weekend that was still pushing the 2020 election with signs everywhere. I hate to break it to you, but the election has ended. This home also had signs and banners flying that very largely displayed the f... word. That is so cool! I wish I had a giant flag that had the f word on it. Instead of saying f Biden or f Trump on the flag I would have it made to say f the people that fly those flags. My lord people grow up. Freedom of speech is what our forefathers fought for. I am sure they had this in mind when they were fighting for that freedom.
