October 9, about quarter to one in the afternoon, there was a report of a motorcyclist hit by a van that left the scene. The incident happened at Mattson Lane and Stacy Trail, north of Chisago City.

Citizens rushed to the aid of the injured motorcycle driver and a passerby followed the fleeing driver with their car. They sent a photo to authorities when the vehicle pulled into a home driveway,  and Lakes Area Police accompanied the deputy to investigate. Arriving at the address matching the photo—the vehicle was gone, but in conversation with the person who answered the door, it was learned the suspect vehicle was inside the garage.  A 24-year-old female was apprehended on suspicion of DWI and was booked into jail.

The victim reportedly did not have life-threatening injuries.

Authorities tracked an assault suspect to a shed where he hid from arrest, at the Stacy Trailer Park about 10:19 a.m.

October 8 a burglary was reported in Rush City on Fifth Street. New homeowner had partially moved in and items left overnight were missing.
