Linda was born on December 5, 1947 in Frederic, WI to her (late) parents, Art and Estelle Hansen. She was the oldest of three children. Linda met the love of her life, Richard Strand and they married in 1980. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, who treasured spending time with those she loved. Linda had a larger than life personality. She was a compassionate spirit who had an amusing and witty sense of humor. She enjoyed strolls and four wheel rides in the woods with her husband, entertaining, cuddling her cats, decorating, laughing, dancing, singing and of course shopping. Linda had an unwavering faith in God that she passed on to her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Art and Estelle Hansen, her brother Alan Hansen, and step-son Donny Strand. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Richard Strand; children, Jennifer (Jenny) Green and Jonelle (Joni) Glubke (husband Dan); step-children, Allen Strand (wife Heather) and Tina Strand; five grandchildren, Stephanie (husband Chris), Nicole, Josh, Cameron and Charlie; great grandchild Lauren; and sister, Lorna Rossi.
Linda’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Chisago City, MN. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10-11am prior to the funeral service at 11am. Luncheon will follow. Masks will be required. The family wants to express thanks for the loving care by the staff of Parmly on the Lake nursing home and Ecumen Hospice.
