Some highlights of the exhibit include: a 1960’s Camp Fire ceremonial gown from Linda Johnson Sullivan along with her photos and candleholders; Doug Gross’s Eagle Award and Pinewood Derby cars and trophy; Neil Gatzow’s memorabilia from the 5th National Boy Scout Jamboree; Chuck Gramling’s vintage Boy Scout handbooks; Jim Stoltzman’s Boy Scout neckerchief; a 1960’s Boy Scout photo and 1950’s-60’s membership cards from the Gary Kunshier family; day camp photos and SWAPS from April Gross; vintage uniforms/sashes from Jill Benson Behnke, Sue Anton Humble and Cande Nelson. All of these items are sure to stir memories for any who participated in these groups in their youth. Please stop by the Government Center and take a look!
The “Folk Art” exhibit is also available for viewing at the History Center in downtown Lindstrom for another two weeks.
The next exhibit “Christmas Through the Decades” will be available from mid-November until mid-January. The History Center is open Mon., Tues., Thurs., Friday and Sat. from 10 AM – 4 PM. Volunteer opportunities are available. Call CCHS at 651-257-5310 for more information.
