October 24
The Lakes Area Police lighted speed readout sign was damaged beyond repair when a vehcle carshed into it.

Investigation led to the arrest of a 61-year-old woman.  The sign and its trailer were placed in Chisago City when the incident happened. The unit was “destroyed” according to the incident preliminary details.

October 21
A downed powerline reported on Sylvan Avenue in Lindstrom. It was across the road and on a deck about mid-day. Xcel was called and it was taken care of without incident.

Theft from a construction site in Shafer reported to the sheriff’s office. Loss includes eletric cable and HVAC copper tubing.

A youth playing football at the high school in Lindstrom suffered an unknown head/neck injury. An ambulance was dispatched but a parent transported the victim. There was no school that day due to MEA. Incident reported at 11:46 a.m.

Police wrote a citation for ordinance violation for a structure too close to the property line built on East Street in Chisago City without a permit.  Compliance still not complete.

October 19
A forced entry to a building on Brunswick in Fish Lake Township reported. No details on what is missing.

October 18
The mini storage on Bremer Avenue in Rush City  had a unit broken into.

There was a large number of false alarm calls over the week for fire, broken glass and other commercial format alarms.  Medical runs were excessive over the week as well.
