The sheriff’s office is hearing calls expressing concern with gunshots, and upon investigation it appears the shooting complaints are goose season related.  One call from an address on 320th Street in Lent reported pellets landing on house rooftop and on the home’s deck and a dead goose dropped in their yard.

Be sure to know your hunting area and be several hundred feet from a dwelling when hunting.

September 4 a catalytic convertor found missing from a vehicle at a storage building in Harris.

A theft of Milwaukee brand power tools reported from an address on Kable Avenue, Lent. Taken overnight.

Lakes Area Police advised of shoplifter at O’Reilly Auto Parts and patrol located suspect driving later and upon traffic stop reportedly found stolen items in the car. An 18-year-old male was arrested.

A natural gas line was cut by a shovel and Xcel responded to address on Jonquil Lane, rural Chisago City, about 1:40 p.m.
September 3 Lakes Area officer requested to aid at a SWAT search of a Washington County residence believed to be involved in a lakes area burglary incident. Items recovered were from a Wyoming city break-in only.

Sept. 1 county is monitoring activity at a red-tagged home, on Stark Road where gravel has been dumped in county right of way among other things.
