A sprinkler repair person was injured while tending to a system at Parmly, Chisago City, and ambulance crew was dispatched. Call came in at 2:45 p.m.

September 11
Fatal fall at St. Croix River
Chisago County, Taylors Falls, Lakes Region EMS and National Park Service emergency personnel went to an area of Interstate State Park, Saturday, Sept. 11 about 7:40 p.m. to aid a man who reportedly fell from the rocks.  The teams were unsuccessful in lifesaving efforts, and the victim was pronounced dead at St. Croix Regional Medical Center.  The victim is identified as 39-year-old Nathan Darval of Hanover MN.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said it appeared he was off-trail when he fell, but the case is being looked into.

Friday Sept. 10 a morning mishap between a squirrel and transformer cut off electricity in the greater Lindstrom area. Xcel responded.

A 22 Remington rifle was reported stolen from a Lindstrom address.

September 9
Call to send medical responders to high school soccer field in Lindstrom. Injured person was transported to Fairview in Wyoming about 5:10 p.m.

Weedwhip in truck stolen overnight, from Lindstrom address.

September 8
Lakeside Trail address has natural gas leak, and Lindstrom fire and Xcel are called out. No damage or injury.

Homes along Neal Avenue in Lindstrom report multiple instances of vehicles gone through.  Several items found strewn on lawn near Pineview Lane neighborhood.

Chisago City Parkview Circle there are CO alarms sounding at a dwelling. Occupants go outdoors and Xcel and Lakes Area Police arrive. No injury or damages. Incident called in a few minutes after midnight.

A woman tells police she is holding a stray white guinea pig she found off Olinda Trail in Lindstrom,  and will care for it until claimed.

Sheriff deputies take report of stolen Glock 43X handgun taken from vehicle parked on Chisago Blvd.

A car parked for sale in Shafer is missing a license plate and owner reports it  stolen.

Male reported missing located, deceased, in Taylors Falls
A local resident walking in a wooded area, Sept. 7 in Taylors Falls, reported coming upon the body of the man reported missing in mid-August. The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner took charge of the investigation and with recovery help from Taylors Falls firefighters, by Wednesday the victim had been identified as Richard Jacobus, 59, Boston.  

Sheriff personnel had located his abandoned car in Taylors Falls August 16.  

A photo of Jacobus and an alert were put out on the Sheriff’s Facebook information page.  He’d been reported to law enforcement after going missing while traveling between Milwaukee to Minnesota.  His destination was Rochester.

The ME said the cause of death was suicide.
