Shafer Days is our last summer celebration fling, come on out!
The fun kicks off Friday evening with Bingo at the Shafer Fire Hall at 6. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. We have played in the past and had a great time at Bingo.
Both Shafer Saloon and Ole’s Crossroads will have live music Friday night. Elijah Adam will play at the Saloon and Straight Shot will be playing their very last show at Ole’s Crossroads. Come on out and say goodbye to lead singer Dave Carlson who is moving out of state.
Saturday kicks off with a pancake breakfast at the fire hall. The breakfast will go as long as supplies last.
At 9am, you are invited to try and find the missing clog. Clues are posted at City Hall, the Fire Hall and by the organizers of the car show every hour until the clog is located. Winner takes home a crisp 100 dollar bill.
All day at City Hall you can view a historic look back at Shafer and what made it what it is today.
Shafer/Franconia Fire will hold their annual open house all day on Saturday beginning at 9 am. Also at 9 am there will be street vendors with arts, crafts, foods and more. They will line the streets of Redwing Avenue.
Shafer is known for its great Shafer Days Car Show. Beginning at 10 am you will see awesome collector cars lining the streets of Shafer. If you have a vehicle you would ike to display, the entry fee is only $5 and you can pay that day.
Pleasant Valley Orchard will be having hay rides with live music and a food truck all day Saturday.
Back in Shafer the famous bank robbery re-enactment takes place at the old bank building at 12:30pm.
At 1pm there is a fire extraction demonstration at the Fire Hall
At 4pm Saturday the Shafer Days Grand Parade works its way down Redwing Avenue.
And finally Saturday evening caps off with more live music at both bars with Gel playing at the Saloon and Austin Healy playing at Ole’s.
Plenty to do, take your time, come out and have some fun.
Saturday Jackie and the gang at All is Wellness invite you to their 10th anniversary Open House. They would love to see you and you can enjoy food and drinks as well as games and great discounts on services. They are located in downtown Lindstrom and the open house runs from 10-2 p.m.
