Next weekend the good folks at First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom are holding their annual Easter Carnival. The event took a little time off with Covid shutting most things down, but it is back and bigger than ever.
From 10-11:30 am your kids will be treated to carnival games, prizes, minnow races and of course a cake walk. The carnival is geared towards kids 8 and under. The event is free and everyone is welcome.
If you take a look at this edition of the Press, you will see many if not all the local churches have their Easter schedules out so the public can find what fits their schedules.
Other than Christmas, there isn’t a more moving and joyous church service all year. I hope you can take the time to get to one of our many absolutely wonderful churches in our area. You will be glad you did.
Speaking of churches, I have some great news, the annual Community Meals which are served at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City will be resuming in June.
I really miss seeing the faces of the regulars and especially miss the wonderful group that puts the meals on each and every week. Keep an eye here in the Press for further details.

This Friday the Taylors Falls Lions Club invites everybody to Taylors Falls Community Center for their annual Ham and Turkey Bingo. Games begin at 6:30pm with popcorn, pop hot dogs and treats available for purchase. The cost is $20 for 20 games and they ask that you please donate any used eyeglasses. See you there!
Sunday, there was a man on North Center Lake ice fishing. He wasn’t just hanging out near the shore, he was way out in the middle of a bay. Come on people, if you want to risk your life, fine, but think of those who are important to you and the first responders.
