Easter Sunday a motorcyclist crashed at Redwing and Pleasant Valley Road, south of Center City, reported about 4:50 p.m.  Air transport could not be sent due to inclement weather, so an ambulance took victim to HCMC. No details available on condition.

Also Easter Sunday an inmate at the county jail was  combative and got hold of a broken mop handle, described in the incident summary as jagged and potentially lethal. Lakes Area Police officers were asked to provide mutual aid for the situation; but all reports are that the inmate was calmed,  and no serious injuries resulted.  The call for assistance went out at 8:30 p.m

April 15
A garbage hauling company truck leaked an estimated 45 gallons of hydraulic fluid on a neighborhood street in Chisago City. Leak happened about 7 a.m. and company stayed on scene to clean up and contain the spill, authorities were notified by Chisago City Public Works about 3:20 p.m.

An ill raccoon was dispatched by a Lakes Area Police officer, in the Gateway Avenue area, Chisago City.

Report of a Federal Express delivery person being bitten by two dogs, on hand and leg.  Incident was at an address on Augusta Avenue in Nessel Township about noon.  County is following up.

Chisago Lakes Middle School had two incidents requiring police to respond. Fights were reported April 14 and 11.  A fight at the Chisago Lakes High School before classes April 11 also resulted in two students being citied for disorderly conduct.

April 12
A 25 year old male was arrested for domestic assault in a “rolling” incident in a vehicle on Hwy. 8. He was taken to the hospital when it was learned he’d ingested controlled susbtances.

April 11
Several chickens killed by dog in Nessel Township. Dog owner and chicken owner negotiated a cash payment and had worked things out when deputy arrived at site on Balsam Avenue.
