Lakes Area Police received report from communications center of camper observed leaking fuel heading to Lindstrom from North Branch, approximately 6 p.m. Intercepted camper on County Road 14 and learned it was water leaking.
August 13
State patrol helicopter and K9 unit activated to find suspect who ran from vehicle crash scene, in 28000 block of County Road 30, about 11 p.m. Suspect was apprehended by Wyoming Police.
Theft reported of a grey color Jeep Wrangler from North Folk Winery, and a handgun in the vehicle. Parked there overnight.
August 12
Fatality on I-35
A death reported resulting from a single pickup truck rollover crash, around mid-day on I-35, just north of the Viking Boulevard exit at Wyoming. Prosecutors were holding the vehicle driver as of early this week, on charges of criminal vehicular homicide.
State Patrol identified the victim as passenger, Brian Newby, age 37. He was in the truck traveling southbound on the freeway, with 33 year old Amber Fountain and the driver Curtis Harris, age 50, of Jefferson, Arkansas.
State Patrol preliminary details are that the truck, a 2013 Chevrolet, hit the right guardrail and went off to the left and into the median, and the passengers were ejected. Road condition was described as wet. Northbound freeway traffic was re-directed for a time over to Forest Boulevard (County Road 30.)
August 11
A no injury accident reported at Wyoming Avenue and Highway 8, Chisago City, about 4 p.m. Eastbound traffic was blocked while scene was cleared.
A dog bit a second dog while it was being walked past a property. Dog is being process as a dangerous dog with quarantine ordered and authorities are following up. Incident happened in Lindstrom at Olinda Trail.
Mailbox damages continue to be reported in south end of the county.
A food delivery person noticed natural gas smell when he left an order with a customer, on Green Lake Trail, shortly after noon. People evacuated the residence and Xcel and Chisago City Fire were dispatched.

Vehicles in a business lot in Rush City were broken into overnight.

A vehicle parked on Lanesboro Way, Chisago Lake Township, was broken into a portable Bose speaker and other items missing.
