James Lundquist
“Baby Boy Lundquist” was born on the Lundquist Farm to Edna Ametta Kezar and Philip William Lundquist on a stormy January 6, 1935 (date of the Epiphany in the church year). Jim’s love of God continued throughout his life. He was Confirmed at age 13 and God was always the focus of his life and his poetry. Jim attended Taylors Falls K-12 School where he played basketball and football and attended Mr. Moberg’s choir. He attended the University of Minnesota, working his way through, at his favorite job at the bowling alley. He graduated with an Engineering Degree and went to work for various computer companies. His family went with him as he worked in Libya, Germany, Canada, and throughout the U.S. He worked with Military Development in more than 35 U.S. locations. His favorite hobby was bowling (he was a “300” bowler) and, working in Canada, played football with the Canadian Air Force. To his co-workers, Jim was known as the consummate engineer who always had a witty joke to share. He was respected and loved by all and will be missed
Burial was at the Taylors Falls Kahbakong Cemetery December 2 at 11am. Jim requests remembering him by planting a tree that will give life, shade and oxygen for us all. The Lundquist name means “Land of Trees.”
Jim’s last words for Lois were “I love you” in sign language and he would want you all to know that he loves you too!
