If you are looking for something local to really bring out the meaning of Christmas, I have just the thing.  On Saturday, the awesome folks at First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom invite any and all the public to come take in their live nativity.  

The setting is Bethlehem and you will be treated to the story of the birth of Jesus.  The nativity is outside on a set they have built just for the event.  There are live angels, live music, as well as bonfires and hot cocoa to help stay warm.

The entire production is outside so please dress accordingly.  The event only takes 15-20 minutes but take it from me, it is one of the most moving  events I have ever taken in.  The shows run every half hour starting at 6pm with the last show at 7:30pm.  

The church is located at 30828 Irene Avenue in Lindstrom, a half block north of the Middle School - look for signs along Highway 8.  You will be so glad you went!

Saturday we and some friends decided to check out the Miracle at Big Rock.  Seeing as it’s located in St. Croix Falls, it was nice and close and with a dinner, we made a night of it.  What a great venue they have over there.  The grounds are decorated with thousands of lights if not millions.  Everything is lit up beautifully as you meander around their pond and eventually end up in their barn.  There is sliding next to the barn and oh did I mention there is a bar that serves craft beers (some incredible drinks trust me).  The event runs through the New Year so if you are looking for some fun that only takes a few minutes to get to, I would highly recommend Miracle.

The 2023 Home & Business Expo is set for February 25 and 26. It will once again be held at the Chisago Lakes Wildcat Center and will once agin be filled with tons of local businesses, all there showing off their goods and services.  This is a great opportunity to showcase your business at a very reasonable price.  I encourage you to contact the Chamber st 651-257-1177  for more details and to sign up.

Today is the last day to register for the free Christmas Meal held on Christmas Day at First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom.  The meal runs from noon to 1:15pm and is for everyone who wishes to not spend Christmas alone this year.  Call 651-257-4306.

We have ads in this paper for most of the local churches and their Christmas service times.  We have taken in several different church services over the years and they all are incredible. There is something about being in church Christmas Eve that tugs on your heartstrings.
