Rivard receives Stewardship Award

Taylors Falls Riverway Stewardship Award was given to Ross Rivard, left, this week, during the council session. The awardee also serves as Grand Marshal for Wannigan Days in summer. Rivard is a native of Taylors Falls, and has served on the fire department for 42 years. His council service came to 34 years with his opting to not seek re-election in 2022. Rivard’s accomplishments are too numerous to mention, but include the above versus below-ground powerline controversy, rehabbing of the community center, negotiating for natural gas service and many other contributions to bettering the city.
