Due to the Monday holiday after Christmas the Lakes Area Police did not submit the weekly incident reports.

Sheriff patrol handled a number of DUI incidents and arrests for the week, no crashes resulted in any serious injury.

Weather also played a role in vehicle emergency calls.  

The county responded to a fire Monday December 19 in the north end of the county, which fully engulfed a home and took the lives of three dogs, one of which served as a sheriff K9, partnering with the deputy homeowner. Story is in December 22 edition and online.
