It was a joy to see people returning to our fellowship hall to enjoy a meal together from all walks of life and economic status.
It is the church’s privilege to have provided the meal in conjunction with help from Krista Schledt at the Family Pathways Food Shelf in Chisago City, the Brinks family at Brink’s Market along with deli manager Paige, Matt Silver and his Chisago County Press, Bernie Coulombe at Lindstrom Bakery, Joel Jordet at Farmers Insurance/ Security State Bank, St. Croix Health Clinic in Lindstrom, and Cathy Wimmer at CopyPro in Chisago Lakes.
For those not aware, financial donations after expenses are distributed back into the community to benefit the hungry. And then we start over next year to do it all again.
On behalf of the Lindstrom First United Methodist Church, I wish you God’s peace and joy, long-lasting health, prosperity beyond dollars-and-cents, and prayers for a better and health-filled year in 2023. The last several years have given us lessons of hope, resiliency in adversity, and the underpinnings of faith in God in all things.
