Enforcement saturation on Hwy. 8
Area law enforcement agencies coordinated a Towards Zero Deaths program saturation to enforce no passing on the right laws, on Hwy. 8.  The state program funds hours for departments to come together to run concentrated patrols on seat belt use, adhering to speed limits, pedestrian right-of-way observation and other traffic related concerns.  
There were over a dozen tickets issued in the area of Highway 8 near connectors Hamlet and Hazel avenues, as drivers went around the passenger sides of squad cars waiting to turn left off the highway.

Lakes Area Police took a set of keys turned in, that were found on Olinda Trail near 288th. Call the LAPD office and describe to claim.

Also, a backpack was found near the Lions Park bandshell. Lakes Area is holding for someone to claim.

June 19 a structure fire was reported at 264th Street, Wyoming. No report available. Called in at 11 p.m.

June 16 a tree on a powerline was on fire in the Montclair Drive neighborhood in Lindstrom. Response was sent out about 4:50 p.m.

June 15 Vandalism caught on surveillance video at Maytag Laundry in Lindstrom. Suspects identified and trespass orders were delivered.

June 14 Authorities made an arrest when responding to a disturbance call for an allegedly inebriated 37 year old male, at The Northern in Chisago City about 3 p.m.

June 13 A driver had a medical emergency while in a car northbound on Ivywood Trail, and drove into and then around the car in front of him— before swerving off the road and into a berm which he went up and over and came to rest a good distance off the paved road. Incident reported about 5:40 p.m.   No transport was noted.

* Reminder the area on the south end of Chisago City, at Chisago Blvd. and Old Towne Road,  is a constrution zone.  Crews are in the process of building a round-a-bout.  You should consider alternative routes.
